HOW DO I LOCK A PHOTO?

Locking photos are a great feature of Timeless Tributes often overlooked. Click on the photo and check the 'Lock" box on the right. Locking a photo prevents you from accidentally modifying it later on. It also won't be affected if you choose to randomize effects or redistribute time.

HOW DO I APPLY TRANSITIONS/EFFECTS TO MULTIPLE PHOTOS?

A great way to save time is to apply transitions or effects to multiple photos. This also works for adjusting the timing. Use the "Ctrl" or "Shift" key to select multiple photos. The changes you make will only apply to the highlighted photos.

HOW DO I TURN OFF THE TRANSITIONS/EFFECTS I DON'T USE?

If you click on the "Transitions" or "Effects" tabs at the top of the screen you will notice that they are all turned on. There are a few benefits to unchecking the transitions/effects you do not use.

1) Only the transitions/effects that you have 'checked' will be applied to photos if you choose "Randomize Effects"

*NOTE: If you have never used the randomize effects feature you can find it on the EDIT menu. Selecting this feature will randomly apply transitions/effects (that are turned on) to all of your photos.

2) The second benefit of turning off unused transitions/effects is that it is a time saver. When you click on a photo and click to choose the transition, the transitions that are turned on will be first and the ones turned off will be last in gray (you are still able to choose a transition/effect that is turned off).

HOW DO I ADJUST THE FRAME RATE?

Click on the "Settings" tab and you will notice a box called "Frame Rate". Adjusting the frame rate will effect the time Timeless Tributes takes to create your videos. A video created at 24fps will take roughly twice as long to create as a video at 12fps. A standard DVD Movie is created a 30fps; however, this is not necessary for most tribute videos.

*NOTE: Increasing the frame rate will smooth out custom zooms & pans but will have little impact on transitions/effects.

We recommend a frame rate of 12fps - 20fps. If your computer is not equipped to create large movie files you may receive an error if you try to create a video at 30fps.

HOW DO I MATCH THE SHOW DURATION TO THE MP3 DURATION?

On the bottom right side of the Timeless Tributes window you will see your "Show Duration" and "MP3 Duration". For a professional looking show you will want to make sure these two numbers are almost identical.
One way to match the two numbers is to manually go through your show and adjust the transition/effect times on your photos.

To match the show time and music time easily choose "Redistribute time" from the EDIT menu. Timeless Tributes will automatically adjust the effect time of each photo so that the show time matches the MP3 time.

*NOTE: This feature will change the effect time of ALL photos. If you would like to have certain photos with different effect times make sure to LOCK those photos prior to choosing to Redistribute time.
